If your relationship with your boyfriend is to ever reach a level where it can meaningful, you cannot hide the facts from him. I am not recommending that you go and shout this out on a loudspeaker tomorrow so he too can hear, but I think you should take the time and cultivate the necessary groundwork to break it to him. This process of getting to a point where you can in fact talk about this openly and without fear is an opportunity to grow yourself and your relationship in ways that will make life and your relationship meaningful. I wish you growth and wisdom.

If you dont tell him, it will always hang over the relationship. It was a long time ago, and dont underestimate your partner’s ability to forgive. Just be tactful and considered about how you tell him… and hope for the best.

This is a tough one, because it happened so long ago, but I would tell him if I were you. Better that than having him find out some other way, however unlikely that may be.
