I confess: I want Iraq to fail. I feel awful about this and I suffer...

already. I've been suffering since my country invaded and occupied Iraq. I am an american man, 31 years old. I work in a technology field and make a very good living. I vote, and I am politically active. I don't shy away from my friends and neighbors, and I share my point of view. I know that no rational human being wakes up and thinks, "I'm going to subjugate and occupy a nation," but that's what my country is doing, and so I hope secretly that Iraq becomes a failed state ... so that it can progress through the violent change that already grips it, and hopefully it can remake itself in a new image, for a new world. I am shattered by the death that has come about, and I honestly hope that what I suggest will diminish the death that is yet to come.
