Seeing and hearing people self diagnose themselves with mental illnesses is really frustrating to me....

I find it hard to ever argue or say it to someone because you never know what they're actually going through. So not wanting to disregard a person's emotions, but you shouldn't claim to have actual depression just because you are sad and have depressive feelings when influenced by certain events (showing sad emotions in general is okay). Just like self diagnosing anxiety because you experience normal fear/worry etc, it's not the same as having to live with chronic anxiety. But if you do feel it is effecting your wellbeing then 100% go see a specialist and they can hopefully help...
