I was abused very severely as a child but it still doesn't excuse what I did. In my anger and not understanding, I used to torture and kill small animals, (bugs, small rodents, never anything more). It was terrible and I know that I'm a really bad person, and now I'm almost 30 and I can never forgive myself for what I did.
