I'm a lesbian

dear people I'm a lesbian and i'm not proud of it, i feel guilty about my sexuality, i even envy normal people. why me? why i was born a lesbian? i've tried once to go and seek some help from a shrink, and was shocked by his answer, he told me it's ok to be like that, and i should accept my self the way i am, but i told him that is wrong, i'm a woman, and i'm supposed to be attracted to men, it's by nature. he told me if you think like this then you will never accept youself and your life will be difficult   my life is already difficult   what shal i do?
