My Idiot Bestfriends My best friend is such an idiot. She's been pining away for my other best friend, and he honestly just doesn't feel that way. But she can't take a hint, clearly. So she's been trying to get with him for almost three years now, and he's been avoiding it. Well, the other day she asked him how he felt, and he finally (for the first time) told her that he didn't like her and just wanted to be friends. She was very upset and I get what she's going through, having just got out of a long relationship myself. But they were never together. And yes, I may have sort of a thing for my best friend (the guy) but no one knows about it, and I haven't even acted on it. We've always been much closer than all of our other friends... like spending hours a day together after school, because he lives right down the street and we both walk home. He's my best friend through and through. I just want both of them to be happy. But he wouldn't be happy with her (which he's told me), so how can I possibly support it? And now, my best friend found out that he liked her for a little while, a long time ago, and she's regained this false hope just when she was starting to move on. Now her idiot older sister (who is terrible when it comes to love, btw) is telling her to start "flirting again". But that never worked in the first place! She should be listening to me, his best friend, who knows him better than anyone, except for his older brother. He doesn't want her, and she's so damn stupid for continuing to pursue something that's never going to happen, and that he doesn't want to happen. And now she's mad at me for not telling her something that he told me in private. If he wanted her to know that he used to like her, like a year ago, then he could've told her himself. He told it to me, trusting that I wouldn't let her know. I know she's my best friend, but I am SO sick of her being such an idiot! Just LEAVE HIM ALONE.
