I put on a yardley perfume yesterday and its supposed to be lavender but I think its got strong notes of licorice and sweet notes of iris and violet so I am not sure what it is, its not just lavender. I am pretty good at naming and catching perfume notes to a t! its something I love and would love to work in to be a perfumer designing fragrance is highly specialised and hard to break into. i have to say however I am not fused on the licorice much, a note that overloads the nasal passages and makes me a little ill.
