I hate people in offices in govt or legal or medical and people on lifeline who say "now I have to stop you right there!" when you explain what your ringing about. its really rude and its like they put up a brick wall so I hung up. when people do that to me now I just hang up. she used to do that sentence to me all the time. building up barriers and then she would tell me what she wanted me to talk about and what she felt my problems were which were completely unrelated to what was really upsetting me. so she would add to my pain of not being able to express my feelings and also make me feel inadequate and I used to think that was normal til I got proper help. so now when people in office desks say that sentence to me I hang up on them.
