I am so freaking sick of all the non-academic goings-on that take up so much of my kids' school day. This week during school one of my kids watched a popular, feature-length movie, made pancakes, had an assembly, and had a holiday party. These were all separate events. Meanwhile, every night she comes home with 2+ hours of homework. Hey, teachers, maybe if you weren't filling class time with frivolity, the kids could get their academic work done DURING SCHOOL!
